Stefani Wilder grew up riding in Arizona, exploring the wild foothills of the Sonoran Desert on horseback on her sturdy mare, Blue. When she wasn't outside, she was reading or writing. Her first novel aimed at creating a different kind of horse story, A Man Who Rides, became an instant favorite among readers who also ride. Stefani now lives in Iowa City with her husband, her dog, and their small herd of horses.
