Amanda Mander

Amanda was born in Indonesia to an American father and an Italian mother. She has lived in many places in the world including Sweden, Italy and New Zealand. Her day job is as a designer in the high tech industry of Seattle but her passion is for writing creative non-fiction. Her latest book is for 8-12 year old animal lovers. It weaves interesting animal facts with exciting narratives based on true wildlife rescue stories. She lives with her husband, four human children and one canine child named Luigi.

In 2013, Amanda won the Solas Gold Award for best love story.
