Randy Simmons

I am the youngest of four boys born to James and Imogene Simmons. My father has been preaching for over sixty years and gave a lasting impression on my life. I was the youngest and the biggest of the family. I spent most of my life living with bullying in school and low self esteem. This life drove me to deep depression and suicidal thoughts. But Jesus changed my life and gave me a new perspective. I didnt suddenly experience an eternal state of joy but found a refuge that held me close during those dark times. I found an outlet in my music and writing that helped me through some of the darkest moments.

I have been writing stories for most of my life. It is something that first became an escape from my everyday life and then became a method of sharing my heart. Being that I am a christian; I found writing to be a way to share the insights I received in my studies of the Bible. I am also a musician and have used my writing to tell my stories that I would write in song then transfer them over to stage. My writing is my passion as much as my music and my preaching. I have chosen to push some traditional bounds by writing in a genre not common for christian authors. I find our world filled with the horrors of everyday life and crossing the lines into the horror genre was just a natural step. So many people are living in a world of death and destruction that providing some light in that darkness was a reality for me.

Today I live in Washington state and pastor a small church. I continue my writing and look forward to completing some visions of future adventures. I hope to finally finish the recording of my album and will be making that available through Amazon.com as well.
