Lenelle Moïse

Lenelle Moïse is a poet, songwriter, award-winning playwright and the author of Haiti Glass (City Lights/Sister Spit). She creates rhythmic texts about the intersection of identity, memory and magic. Her writing has been featured in several anthologies including Word Warriors: 35 Women Leaders in the Spoken Word Revolution (Seal Press). She independently released the critically-acclaimed CDs Madivinez (poetry) and The Expatriate Amplification Project (all-vocal music). Her plays include K.I.S.S.I.N.G., Merit, The Many Faces of Nia, and the Off-Broadway sensation Expatriate. Moïse is a 2012-2014 Huntington Theatre Company Playwriting Fellow. She was also the 2010-2012 Poet Laureate of Northampton, Massachusetts and the 2012 recipient of the Ruby Prize for Merit.
