Efrain Palermo

Efrain Palermo was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1954 to Puerto Rican parents. He has been interested in science since he was knee high to a microscope. His interest in Mars prompted him to study NASA's image archive whereupon he discovered a correlation between the streaks of Mars and subsurface water. Efrain published a paper and presented it at the Mars Society Convention at Stanford in 2001. He also discovered and popularized a monolithic feature on Mars' moon Phobos. Mr. Palermo has written poetry and this is his first novel. Alien Cartel is part of a trilogy. He is currently working on the next book in the series, 'Tides of Retribution.' Efrain lives in Portland, Oregon
