Author Kristofor Olson, based on Paris, Ontario, is happy to announce the release of his new book Twelve Aunts, which is the second in the Landis Chronicles series and is a follow-up to Twelve Uncles from 2022.
Kris spent the first 22 years of his life in Saskatchewan with a great prairie upbringing. After graduating university in the midst of a terrible recession with few prospects for work, Kris decided to make a change. He strapped on a backpack and left Canada with a great yearning for adventure and a future full of possibility. He would spend the next ten years traveling the world, visiting over 80 different countries (and living in 13 of them), all the while developing a professional business career.
His first book, The Found Vagabond, is an entertaining, thoughtful, and sometimes profound, look at the joys of travel. It explores many aspects of travel ranging from the pure mechanics of planning and financing a trip, to where to go and what to do when you get there, and even the spirituality of the travel experience. There are also chapters devoted to traveling with children, staying safe while traveling, and a concise guide to how to find work and live overseas.
The book concludes with ten true life travel adventure stories which illustrate many of the concepts and ideas presented in the book. Here you will find cage diving with great white sharks in South Africa, a grueling journey after being stranded by 9-11, an amazing expedition through the salt fields of Bolivia, a family sailing trip around Lake Erie, and much more.
