Susan A Grant

Susan A Grant was born in North London in 1948. She was an only child much cherished by her parents. Her main interest was in science, and she trained as a technician in the pharmacy at North Middlesex Hospital. After marriage, she moved to Essex and had two daughters. Her love of science led her to study with the Open University where she qualified with a BSc degree. She worked in several Essex pharmacies until retirement.

Her love of reading started in her childhood: Aesops Fables, Black Beauty and The Secret Garden being her favourites. She liked to write poetry, and in more recent years colleagues would often find a small rhyme in their birthday cards.

After retiring, she started writing young children’s books and now has six e-books on Amazon. Four are about a dog and a magic bone and one is a cat and mouse story. Recently released as an e-book and paperback was a heartwarming story about Walter, a white hedgehog and his battle to stay alive in the countryside on his own.

Wanting a bit more of a challenge she wrote an adult short novel, about an Essex police detective, available as an e-book and in print.

Her latest series is about the antics of a Labrador type puppy who is always causing problems. Rosilee's Day by the Sea, being the first and Rosilee and the Christmas Tree the second.
