Michael Algar

Born in London in 1928, Author Michael Algar lived in Britain during World War 11. Soon after the war, at age 16 he started working life as a merchant seaman. After seven years at sea, he swallowed the anchor and moved to Canada where he married and later qualified as a professional accountant (CMA/CPA. He worked as a management systems specialist, and "Prison Triangles" reflects experience he gained in the way prisons operate, from both sides of the bars. During his vacations he joined his wife, travel writer Pam Hobbs in her activities. He retired early from the business world and became a travel writer, contributing to the Toronto Sun and Financial Post and other major newspapers and magazines.
