Anne Wareham

I'm a garden maker - responsible with Charles Hawes for the design and spadework at Veddw.

The garden was recently voted one of 100 best gardens in the UK and Alan Titchmarsh included it as one of his 10 best British gardens, saying "The hedges alone are worth a visit, and there is much to learn about the use of plants in this Welsh garden. Quirky, fun, inspiring."

I also write about gardens for newspapers and garden magazines, and edit the website thinkinGardens.

My first book, The Bad Tempered Gardener was published in May 2011 by Frances Lincoln and has been described by the Daily Mail as a 'best seller'. I'm looking forward to the royalties which convince me of that.

'Outwitting Squirrels' is my second book and it has sold over 22 thousand copies, which is an awful lot of irritated squirrels.

'The Deckchair Gardener' is a book for gardeners and non gardeners, detailing how to make gardening less like housework for those with other things to do than weeding.

I appeared on television as a judge in the series 'Britain's Best Home and Garden' on Channel 5. Tim Richardson included me in his list of most influential British gardeners in the Telegraph.

I have a garden blog which you can find on the Veddw website (google 'Veddw')

And I am generally a thorn in the flesh of the garden world.

Xxxxx
