I previously headed Immigration Intelligence Liaison working against immigration related organised crime before I retired to focus on teaching Seido Karate.

With a strong Judo foundation, over the past 50 years I have trained in a wide variety of martial arts.

I am currently a 6th Degree senior Black belt in the World Seido Karate Organisation and have trained and examined over hundreds of black belts. The UK World Seido Organisation currently has nearly 600 students training in the UK with over 300 students in schools programmes.

I regularly trained in New York under Kaicho (Grand Master) Nakamura 9th Degree black belt, one of the top traditional karate instructors in the world today.

I introduced Karate and Self Protection and Awareness programmes to over 30 schools in Buckinghamshire and have given lectures at Eton and Harrow as well as teaching at a wide variety of schools with a varied mix of students including those with special needs. I have also developed special programmes for the blind and visually impaired.

My hobbies include sailing; fishing; tennis; languages; writing and travel. I have been married for over 53 years and have three married sons and a dog named Toko.
