Brian McHugh is a Glasgow based author and writer. Work includes the novel ‘Torn Edges’, several published short stories and articles in the 'Guardian' and 'Private Eye' A short story of Glasgow’s Gorbals and Buddy Holly was first broadcast by the BBC in 2010. Several short films have been published and produced and can be viewed on this site. Second novel, ‘Between two Bridges’ published in June 2016. Not quite a sequel, but has several of the characters of Torn Edges within it’s New York story line. Third novel, ‘The Practice Field’ (June 2022) is a fast paced spy thriller set in occupied Paris in August 1941, with an unusual Irish twist.
