Amanda Seyderhelm is an experienced certified play therapist who trains families, schools and organisations how to help children cope with loss, bereavement, grief, and change using a therapeutic storytelling programme to build optimism, wellbeing, and resilience.
In her private practice she has treated children from primary, and secondary school settings, and also worked closely with the ASF, and the team at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity introducing the creative arts to young patients. She is now a partner agency for Barnardos Charity, and is CRUSE qualified to work with children, and young people. A member of Play Therapy UK (no. 201100189), and Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (no. 65448315). All her clinical work is supervised. She has an enhanced DBS, and professional indemnity insurance.
Amanda has a BA degree in English Literature and Social Anthropology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy and a post-graduate certificate in systemic approaches to treating individuals, families and organisatons from The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.
