Richard M. Simms

Richard Simms likes to talk. A lot. At some point, he realized that writing was just like talking... except without the annoyance of people interrupting him! Ironically, it was the long, tedious conversation of a train passenger named Audrey which inspired him to write the book Crimes Against Civility, in which he had the unmitigated gall to take the rest of society to task for things which got under his skin. (As it turned out, Simms was onto something, as the vast majority of reviewers said, in essence, "Get out of my head! I think that all the time!"

While waiting for the rest of the world to discover and/or deride him, Richard spends his days as the executive editor of Soaps In Depth magazine. In that capacity, he has become something of an expert on topics ranging from doppelgangers to deaths, both real and faked. He also has so many Twitter accounts that it is rumored he is actually responsible for one-eighth of all tweets sent out into the universe. Were he being paid by the tweet, he would be a millionaire several times over.

Sadly, he is not.

Speaking of writing he does for free, Richard's pieces can also be found on a semi-regular basis on such sites as SweatpantsAndCoffee.com and TheTVaddict.com.

Richard is semi-obsessed with Walt Disney World, and has recently become a big fan of cruising, reportedly saying of the latter, "It's drinking, eating and gambling... show me the downside?"
