Alexa Duir lives in the heart of the beautiful English countryside that features in her books, which are set in the west of England, in the ancient Forest of Dean.

She has worked in a number of different roles in the private and public sectors, dealing with ministers, MPs, senior civil servants and a host of specialists. Among other things, she has been a senior trade union officer, lay advocate, investigator and anti-discrimination specialist.

Alexa has had a lifelong interest in folklore and mythology and would call herself a Heathen/Asatru who also practices Gardnerian Wicca.
