Chris LaFata

Chris LaFata is an accomplished educator and author. Originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, he fully expected to grow up and become a rock star. Instead, he pursued a different path, ultimately earning a doctorate and serving as a college dean. With over 20-years experience in higher education, he has taught a wide range of college courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

In addition to his academic career, LaFata is a published novelist, releasing his first book, Washington's Providence, in 2013. He is an avid reader, completing well over 100 books per year. Outside of his professional interests, he is a dedicated husband and father who actively supports his daughters' volleyball teams. In his spare time, he still picks up the guitar with hopes of writing a one-hit-wonder.
