Giancarlo is an author of graphic novels dedicated to Sardinia Island and the Nuragic civilization of which he realizes the story, the pencils and the inks. A work that requires complete dedication and at least two years’ time for each book. What ceaselessly spurs him on is the love for his land, for drawing and for adventure comics, of which he is a great admirer, in particular, in the American golden age, of the work of masters such as Raymond, Foster, Hogarth and Manning, while, on the Italian scene, of the maestros Galep, Ferri, Sinchetto and Scarpa.
In his pencils, Giancarlo seeks the neatness of the scene without overloading it with marks, however, making proper use of shading to give volume and “weight” to the subjects. When inking, he prefers softness and sinuosity of brushes to hardness of nibs.
He desires that, following the adventures of Fish, the Nuragic boy with long braids who is the protagonist of his novels, the reader feels the same emotions as him and almost perceives the scent of myrtle and helichrysum as if it was flowing out of the pages.
Giancarlo graduates in information science and works for multinational companies such as Olivetti, Marconi e Cisco before dedicating himself full-time to the creation of graphic novels. His work, in order of publication, is composed of the following volumes: “The Lydian’s treasure”, “Nuragic Odyssey”, “The maze of Dionysus” and "The big illusion".
