Emily B. Klein

Emily Klein is Associate Professor of English and Modern Drama at Saint Mary's College of California. She is co-editor of Performing Dream Homes: Theater and the Spatial Politics of the Domestic Sphere (2019). Her first book, Sex & War on the American Stage: Lysistrata 1930-2012 (2014) was featured in The New York Times, Ms., and Vice articles historicizing Spike Lee's Chi-Raq. Her work has also appeared in American Quarterly, Women and Performance, and Frontiers as well as Political and Protest Theater After 9/11: Patriotic Dissent (2012) and Performance in a Militarized Culture (2018).
