Lisa A. Kramer

Lisa A. Kramer loves words. She loves language. She loves stories. She also loves learning, exploring, discovering and mentoring others. As an author, teaching artist, educator, and advocate, her passion is developing new ways to share all those things she loves, whether that is through writing (both fiction and non-fiction), directing/performing in the theatre, or working collaboratively with communities in creative programming. Her debut novel, P.O.W.ER (Word Hermit Press 2015) was a finalist for the Sarton Literary Prize in Contemporary Fiction. Dr. Kramer is co-author of Creative Collaborations through Inclusive Theatre and Community Based Learning (Palgrave/Macmillan 2017), winner of the American Alliance of Theatre Education Distinguished Book Award (2018). Her work can also be found in various short story anthologies, journals, and magazines. When not writing, Lisa leads creativity workshops and collaborates with universities and companies to bring more creativity and improvisation into projects.
