Nick Palermo

Nick Palermo founded Young Life’s Capernaum Ministries in 1986 in San Jose. He has served on Young Life staff since 1983 as a Club leader, Capernaum founder, Capernaum’s National Director and currently is the Director of Young Life's Metro Capernaum ministry, in the Santa Clara Valley.

Nick received a BA in Sociology from San Jose State University and a Masters in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Born and raised in San Jose, he is married to Sumarah (Sue) and has three sons: Joel, Zack and Sam. He is a member of Bethel Church in San Jose, California.

Nick loves spending time with his family and friends. He has served as a Little League and Upward Basketball Coach and is passionate about all things baseball, especially the San Francisco Giants. He also loves movies, rain, coffee, laughter, walks and books. His favorite time of the week is any Capernaum club where he can be with his friends.

Nick is an energetic and gifted speaker who brings with him a vast array of experience serving youth with disabilities in San Jose and around the world.
