I am a historian & archaeologist who also writes on religion and politics living in Worcester, England. I was a teacher in mult-ethnic schools for many years and also taught abroad in Europe and the Gulf. My PhD thesis is based on archaeological fieldwork in the Egyptian desert and I have published a number of peer-reviewed articles (available on Academia.edu) although I am not, and have never been, a professional academic or archaeologist. World travel has always been one of my great passions and I am fascinated by different cultures. Currently I am particularly studying Islam and its origins as well as Ancient Egypt.
