Alan R. Holyoak

Hi! I’m Alan Holyoak, a marine biologist with interests in the diversity of life, especially invertebrates, marine and freshwater biology, ecology, evolution, environmental science and biological illustration. I earned a PhD in Biology from UC Santa Cruz, and thoroughly enjoyed my 30-year career as a professor. In addition to teaching courses in the areas listed above, I taught field courses in marine ecology and/or carried out research at the Friday Harbor Labs (U of Washington), The Joseph M Long Marine Laboratory (UC Santa Cruz), Hopkins Marine Station (Stanford U), the U of Hawaii and the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology (U of Oregon).
