When you grow up on a farm you learn all about gambling at an early age. Each year you watch your parents and their friends “go all in” putting another crop in the ground and hoping that this year isn’t a “flop”. If the weather doesn’t “turn” nasty and your crop doesn’t get taken out by the “river” you may just take home a bumper pot ;-) Yeah, I have a different sense of humour, but don’t worry, it doesn’t show up in this novel.
Having served over 20 years in the Canadian Forces I have managed to see a lot of the world and meet a lot of different people. Guess what, if you get to know them, they all have tells! If you pay attention to the little things you can really get a read on where people are coming from and what is on their mind. Having taken a deception detection course last year, the science behind the course confirmed that all races share the same seven universal facial expressions of emotion.
I am an educator by nature, and a technology enthusiast at heart. That is why I think that Alex and I got along so well writing this book even when things didn’t necessarily go as we planned. I hope you enjoy reading this novel as much as I have enjoyed putting this together with Alex a.k.a. “The rabbit”
P.S. – I have no problem shooting rabbits, even at over 100 yards!
