I was born in Durham, North Carolina and grew up in Indiana, Connecticut (two locations), Virginia, Maryland, and then back to North Carolina (three locations). All of this before I entered college. My family wasn't in the military - my parents just seemed to like moving. All of these homes meant times living on a farm, at the beach, or in the suburbs.

My schooling was a bit more stable. I attended McDonogh School, a boarding school outside of Baltimore. From there I went to Duke University and earned a B.A. in Management Science and Religion. After college, I moved to Atlanta and stayed there for eighteen years. I met my wife in Atlanta and our two children were born there, too. Then it was time to move. But my new career as an At-Home Dad made moving easy.

I've always been an avid reader and dabbled as a writer. I had a few short stories and some poems appear in small press publications. With the arrival of my children, my writing was put on hold while I cooked, did laundry, and loved my job. Finally, after my wife was subjected to yet another tale of our children's antics, she suggested I put my stories into book form. Thus was born my memoir, WHOSE MOMMY IS THAT? My book chronicles my early years as an At-Home Dad.

Today, I live with my wife and teenage children in Marin County, CA, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Our merry little troupe is supplemented with two golden retrievers.
