Dana Anspach was born in Iowa City, IA, then lived in St. Louis, MO, several cities in Florida, and Grand Junction, Colorado, before settling in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2001. At age 55, she has traded in her Harley Softail Slim for a pickleball paddle. She also enjoys hanging out with her husband and their dog, regular gym workouts, and vacationing in the mountains.
She has been practicing as a financial advisor since 1995 and is the Founder and CEO of Sensible Money, LLC, a registered investment advisory firm.
From 2008 to 2017, she wrote online as About’s MoneyOver55 Expert, which evolved into TheBalance, where she wrote content for their Retirement Decisions section. Currently, she contributes as a guest blogger to The Retirement Manifesto.
She graduated in the first class of Retirement Management Analysts (SM) in 2010 and has served on several committees to further advance industry knowledge.
She is also a Certified Financial Planner(TM), Kolbe Certified Consultant(TM), member of the FPA (Financial Planning Association), and IWI (Investments & Wealth Institute).
