Edie Thys Morgan

Edie Thys Morgan is a freelance writer, part time ski coach, full time mom and two-time Olympian in Alpine Skiing. The California native grew up on the slopes of Squaw Valley, where she developed a penchant for going downhill fast. Nine years on the US Ski Team gave her lots of material for her post athletic writing career, first penning the column Racer Ex in Ski Racing magazine, then as an editor at SKI magazine and later in writing her work of "historical sports fiction," Shut Up and Ski. Along the way she has dabbled in a variety of topics, not always for young audiences (ahem—code word Ding-Dong), but always with humor and a positive message.

Edie, her husband Chan and their two avid ski racer boys live in New Hampshire where they ski as much as possible (go Dartmouth Skiway!), and they make annual pilgrimages to the homeland in Squallywood.
