J. Walker moved to Los Angeles, CA in January of 2013 by way of Philadelphia, PA. As a writer and freelance editor, the former assistant teacher and tutor has always been devoted to communicating with others through language--from crafting noteworthy stories or writing books--to inspire the youth. J. Walker is someone who is passionate about writing and understands the power of words. Her first book, The Baddest Kid in Sixth Grade, was written to tell an entertaining story and to also help children who may not otherwise comprehend books on their grade level be able to read without a more experienced reader there to sound out the words for them. This book encourages reading and simplifies multi-syllable words by breaking them down phonetically making pronunciation and spelling easier, which builds the reader's confidence.
