Bernard Pearson was born in 1946. In his past he has been at times a soldier, village policeman, door to door salesman, potter, sculptor, and painter.
Some twenty odd – and indeed some were very odd – years ago he met Terry Pratchett. They became good friends, and much fun was had by the both of them. This resulted in all manner of some books, interesting Objet’ d’ art and a few million Discworld postage stamps. But his crowning achievement has been when he and Isobel opened the world famous ‘Discworld Emporium’ in Wincanton, with their partners in crime, Ian Mitchell and Reb Voyce.
Remembering Terry’s remark that writing is the most fun anyone can have with their clothes on. That’s what he does now.
He bore the trepidations of ‘Lockdown’ with a stoic calm due mostly to the regular intake of Gin and pipe tobacco. And of course, the ministrations and enduring patience of Isobel, his best friend of the last forty summers.
He lives in Wincanton, Somerset, which doesn’t seem to mind.
