Steve Atkins

Steve Atkins was born in 1948 in West Virginia, and grew up on a hundred-acre farm on the top of a beautiful ridge not far from the little town of Milton.

Steve holds an Associate's Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, a Bachelor's Degree in Pastoral Ministry, and a Master's Degree in Pastoral Studies. He is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry degree.

In 1987, he decided that the sign industry needed a "hands-on, how-to" publication, so he launched "Sign Builder Illustrated." It grew to a readership of 15,000 in the United States and fifteen foreign countries. He sold it in 1994, and became a consultant and chief editor for the new owners. The magazine is now published in New York, and is distributed worldwide.

In 1998, Steve entered the exciting world of real estate, and found his niche in waterfront community marketing. Over the next few years, he, his wife and their son sold out over 20 complete communities.

Steve always had ambitions to write a novel. Over the years he worked on several, and finally finished his first one, "Dream Point" in 2013. He is currently working on a new novel, "Pamlico Moonrise," and a new "Pastor Dan Series." The first book in that series is entitled, "The Ridge," which was released in 2017.

Steve loves spending time with his lovely wife, Rennie, to whom he has been married since 1968.
