Joanne Grady Huskey

Joanne Grady Huskey is a cross cultural coach, international educator, public speaker and author. She is one of the co-founders of iLive2Lead Young Women's Leadership Summit, co-founder of Global Adjustments, (India); and of the American International School of Chennai (India). She was for many years International Director of VSA Arts at the John F. Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C. As part of a diplomatic family, she has lived and worked all over the world promoting intercultural understanding. Her life mantra has been "People to People."

Her book, The Unofficial Diplomat, was published in 2010 by the the U.S. State Department's Association of Diplomatic Studies and Training. Her second book, entitled, Make It In India, was published by Westland-Tata. Her third book, iCAN: A Young Woman's Guide to Taking the Lead was published in the fall of 2018 by Xlibris. Her fourth book, Growing Up Grady, which chronicles her childhood, came out in December 2021. To broaden cultural understanding among young people, her first children's book, Christopher and Caroline in Kenya, published in 2022, introduces children to the beauty and culture of that African nation. In 2023 her second children's book, Christopher & Caroline in India, was published opening the rich cultural history of India to children everywhere. Articles by Ms. Huskey also have appeared in the Washington Post, Newsweek Online, Foreign Service Journal, State Magazine, Hemispheres Magazine, and Centered on Taipei.

Ms. Huskey has a Masters degree form Harvard University and was selected by Encore as a Purpose Prize Fellow for her work with young women in Leadership, and awarded a Points of Light Award by Secretary James Baker for her work in the arts in the Asia Pacific region

Pixie Alex Percival has spent over 30 years in Africa. She draws her artistic inspiration from her time in Nigeria and then Kenya. For many years Alex has been interested in illustrating stories and specializes in mythology and narratives from Africa. Working in mixed media, with gouache, watercolor and pencil. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in illustration from the University of Herefordshire, along with diplomas in Botanical Painting and Humanities.

Shakkeela Manoj & Ratheesh Kumar illustrated the book, Christopher & Caroline in India. Shakkeela and Ratheesh are based in Kerala, India, and focus their work on Indian traditional and folk art in order to share the rich history and mythology of Indian culture.
