Soon after finishing her graduate studies in history, Luba landed on the doorstep of Canada’s largest museum, the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Canada, where she worked for more than 20 years. Moving from positions in the Education and Programs Departments to the Museum’s consulting branch, she concluded her career at the institution in the office that managed the Renaissance ROM renovation project.
After leaving the Museum, Luba worked for several years in an administrative and research capacity for a private museum consulting firm with offices in Toronto and London (UK). She subsequently worked in the educational sphere and private sector, but currently focuses on writing.
Theft Between the Rains is the author’s second novel (and a sequel to Theft By Chocolate) which is inspired by her many passions, including film. When not writing, Luba can frequently be found in movie theaters and at film festivals where she found the seeds of the story for Theft Between the Rains, in particular, in the documentaries Lost Rivers and The Rape of Europa.
Outside of cinemas, Luba spends her time being a culture hound and gym and dance studio rat, teaching yoga, and feeding her spirit and energy at yoga retreats in wondrous locations around the planet.
