Shane H. Finkelstein

Shane Finkelstein is originally from Valley Stream, New York. After majoring in English at the University of Maryland, he spent nine years in Atlanta as publisher of University Reporter/ Insite Magazine. He wrangled his girlfriend at the time, Courtney, to travel around the world in Y2K before settling down with her in their favorite city, New Orleans. Together, they opened four locations of Nacho Mama’s—a popular local Mexican restaurant chain—produced festivals, and had three wonderful kids. Shane continued his passion for writing with entertainment articles in local publications like Where Y’at Magazine, New Orleans Levee, and Le Monde du Merde. In 2013 he published his first full-length novel, Finding Gordon Lipschitz, which went on to become an Amazon Best Seller in the humor category. He’s currently living and self-quarantining in the Broadmoor neighborhood of Uptown, New Orleans.
