C.J. Howell

C.J. Howell is a native of Colorado and spent many years bartending and writing in mountain towns before moving to Arizona. He has published short stories in various literary magazines and his debut novel, THE LAST OF THE SMOKING BARTENDERS, has received critical acclaim including a starred review by Booklist Magazine. A habitual traveller, he once hitchhiked from Boulder, Colorado to Tierra del Fuego, and has several times driven cars of questionable reliability to his home away from home in Panajachel, Guatemala.
