Roxanne Werner is an award-winning author and freelance editor based in Louisville, Kentucky. A New Jersey native who spent her youth haunting local libraries and learning to write in Elvish, she holds a B.S. in Horticulture from Rutgers University.
Her short fiction has appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, earning her Highlights Author of the Month honors, a Highlights contest win, and a finalist spot in the 2025 Page Turner Awards for her fantasy manuscript, The Book Wyrm.
When she isn’t building mythic worlds, unraveling plot twists, or exploring local nature, Roxanne can be found needle-felting, birdwatching, and enjoying a cup of tea in the company of her husband and their two literary rescue cats, Horace Rumpole and Lady Harriet Whimsey. Her gothic romance novella, The Stroke of a Pen, is published by Attic Books.
