Lee Beard

Born and raised on the picturesque Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, Florence Callender migrated to the United States over 25 years ago. On her journey to self-discovery and life in New York, she worked in her native country - St. Lucia; a neighboring island -Trinidad; and the state of California; as a teacher, accounting clerk, and fashion designer before using her five-step formula to discover her unique purpose and implement her mission to improve the lives of others through speaking and writing.

A popular author, speaker, and educator, Florence shares a message that is thought-provoking, inspiring, and educational. She provides solutions to those who struggle because they learn differently. Her tools and techniques facilitate optimal learning and performance in all students. She has a passion for training them to become authentic, successful, and productive individuals, with the goal of not just achieving academic success but experiencing optimal lives.

Florence is a co-author of “Wake Up…Living in Abundance” and “Finding the Courage Within You” and a contributing author in the 2014 Women’s devotional “Breathe.” She has earned a B.A. in Education, an M.A. in Speech-language Pathology - is New York State licensed and holds national certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Christian Education.
