Cathy Everitt is a retired speech-language pathologist who worked with children and teens. Now she serves as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem, or advocate, for children in foster care. When she isn't writing, she enjoys public speaking, kayaking, leading Bible and book study groups, and visiting Ireland, which she has done 18 times. She has spent many summers there, and some of her inspirational stories are about people she knows in Cork. During the rest of the year, she lives near a bay in Northwest Florida, and finds inspiration in its egrets and herons.
