Larry M. Weiner

Larry M. Weiner began his writing career in the film industry as the original story developer for Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, which became a beloved Muppet classic. He was also part of the development team behind From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, the CBS movie The Last Giraffe, and a series of animated features for NBC.

In 1995, Larry began writing audio drama for National Public Radio. In 2001, he completed his first feature-length science-fiction audio comedy, Flight of the Bumble Bee, starring Star Trek: The Next Generation actress Marina Sirtis.

In 2003, Lives of the Cat introduced audiences to Anne Manx, a tough science-fiction private investigator with one very unusual advantage: nine lives. Anne has been portrayed by renowned science-fiction actress Claudia Christian, and the series has featured an extraordinary roster of guest stars, including Kelli O'Hara, Marin Mazzie, Ed Asner, Shirley Jones, Barbara Harris, Moira Kelly, Marina Sirtis, Traci Lords, Ellen Muth, and many others.

The Anne Manx audio adventures have earned a number of audio awards and brought Anne's combination of science fiction, mystery, humor and classic detective storytelling to listeners for more than two decades. The audio series continues with its latest adventure, Anne Manx and Her Dark Place.

Larry has now expanded the Anne Manx universe into the Lives of the Cat novella series, bringing Anne's intergalactic mysteries—and her remaining lives—to a new generation of readers.
