April Hawks was born in a small, Maine town. She currently lives in another small, Maine town. She resides with her husband, four sons, two bunnies, (both female. That is important, but the girls are still outnumbered) and a Tomato doggie. In her spare time, little though it may be, she enjoys playing video games, reading, playing pen and paper RPGs, and coloring. Most of her time is devoted to her family and writing. But she is always surrounded and inspired by music.
Her first concert, ever, (that was not a children's concert) was Megadeth. She has also seen Cher twice, a 13 hour concert with a bunch of big names in Boston, one of her bucket list concerts -Weird Al- and Pat Benatar.
Her first publication was her personal essay "Slippery Love" in the anthology "Bleed" in August, 2013. Her most recent publication was Northern Frights from Grinning Skull Press.
She is currently working on several novel length projects, many short stories, and a novella or two.
She posts obnoxiously on Facebook, sometimes remembers she has a twitter account and an Instagram.
