Jacob Saar

I am a Ph.D. in chemistry with 35 years of experience including postdoctoral research at Northwestern university in Evanston, Illinois. In 2005 I have hiked the Israel National Trail [INT] for the first time. While browsing the internet I've found the following information about the INT: "The INT is very difficult to hike, there is no information available in English". This is when I've decided to write my first hiking guide. In 2009 the first edition of the INT guide was published and since then I've published few other guides in both English, Hebrew and German. I'm hiking the INT for the 3rd time with my granddaughter. In 2012 the National Geographic magazine has ranked the INT as one of the top 10 best hiking trails in the world.
