I have been a management consultant for over four decades. In my writing and presentations for business, I convey principles through stories. My clients have earned several billion dollars with my counsel (ignoring, of course, one trillion-dollar misfortune). I have deep experience bringing peace in a world that seems to have more than a few bullies. I also know how it feels to fail and, with no power, how to get things done,

Business is my vocation; stories are my nature. Mary, my wife of 53 years, and I participate as multiple characters in my semi-autobiographical novels. We also play roles in novels exploring historical turning points in which our ancestors engaged. Mary and I are the parents of six children and 15 grandchildren. We have lived in California, Idaho, Maine, Massachusetts, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming and have traveled extensively to every continent—except one.
