Bill Searcey

Bill Searcey was born in 1958 in Savannah,Georgia where he attended Benedictine Military School and became an All American high school football player.Bill went on to play for legendary Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant at the University of Alabama and was a member of two National Championship teams in 1978 and 1979.

After college Bill went on to play in both the United States Football League and the Natonal Football League.After football, Bill's life took a tragic turn, filled with drugs and alcohol, which ultimately led to a life on the streets as a homeless resident of Birmingham,Alabama,

Bill's rebirth was first witnessed by tv viewers in the A&E reality series "HEAVY" and now they can read the whole story in his first book "HIGH TIDE:A STORY OF FOOTBALL,FREEFALL AND FORGIVENESS"
