Jennifer Miller

Jennifer Miller Peters is an Associate Professor and Counselor in the Career and Internship Center at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and has been with FIT since 2001. Jennifer has worked as a career counselor extensively with art and design students and as an internship counselor with Fashion Merchandising Management students. She is very knowledgeable and passionate sustainability and social media. In addition to counseling she taught Career Planning for several years and is currently teaching an Associate’s level internship course on Career Exploration. She is very active on her campus serving on numerous faculty, union and college-wide committees. She has also trained and facilitated student Leadership Workshops as a volunteer at FIT. She has been on the Executive Board of MNYCCPOA for the past nine years serving as President, Treasurer, Second Vice President, Historian and is currently Past President. Prior to working in career development she was the Director of Student Services at the French Culinary Institute for four years. She has two masters degrees, one in Guidance and Counseling from Hunter College, and one in Business Administration from Binghamton University. In addition, she studied Organizational Behavior at the graduate level at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
