Her desire to help others avoid living a life of obesity or being made fun of was what prompted Dottie Copps to write books about losing weight and feeling great. Being a young girl, in her 20’s, Dottie has faced her fair share of issues with her health and weight, many of which could have been avoided, should she have known about the dangers of fad diets. Having gone through a large number of crash diets that either left her feeling helpless, ill or gaining any weight that she lost back right away, Dottie became fed up.
After performing many hours of research, she realized that she needed to bring her eating habits back to the basics. With the help of her friends and family, Dottie began taking the food that she ate very seriously. She learned about the pitfalls of every diet that she had tried before and simply began following a clean eating diet. This way of eating was not a diet; it was more of a way of life that has provided unlimited benefits of health and happiness for Dottie.
Through self-exploration, help from her doctors and her closest friends and family, Dottie was able to lose more than 50 pounds, simply by changing the way she looked at food. All at once her life was transformed. No longer was she the “big girl” that couldn’t fit in with others or the one that was left out of active outings. She became an active, happy, woman that is now able to enjoy the years of her young adulthood. Her latest hobbies include roller blading, hiking, kickboxing and Tae Kwon Do. It is through her writing that Dottie hopes to help others achieve the healthy, happy life that she has been lucky enough to achieve.
