K. Sherrerd Lowry

K. Sherrerd Lowry is an independent scholar and novelist currently living in Florida.

Lowry worked as a classroom teacher then earned a doctorate in Mathematics Education. Working as an editor of mathematics textbooks for a major publisher contributed to an enduring interest in the question of how children best learn math. A love of story and an abiding interest in the graphic arts resulted in several children's math storybooks ("LC4A and the Big Test"; a paperback version of that e-book with added workbook and practice material; and "Surprises for Zu-Zu").

Other offerings: years of enjoyment--and bemusement--on Internet forums led to the writing of "Forum Finesse: A Guide to Impact and Influence in Online Talk". A fascination with the question 'which stories endure?' led to "Grey Fairy/White Wolf: Three Classic Lang Tales Retold." Appreciation for the phenomenon of adult coloring resulted in "Wise Words from Shakespeare," "Wise Words from Jane Austen," and "Wise Words from Left-Handers"--all with the subtitle "A Coloring Book for Adults." With an eye on the political scene, Lowry compiled and introduced "And You Shall Be Upheld: Quotations for Democracy-Builders."
