Gabriel Hershman

I enjoy everything about cinema, especially British movies of the 1960s and 1970s.

My most recent book is Greatness and Grief: An Appreciation of Richard Burton.

The biography of Ian Hendry, Send in the Clowns, was my first book.

My biography of the late and much lamented Albert Finney - Strolling Player - was published by The History Press in January 2017 and is available in Waterstones and Foyles, among other bookshops.

My biography of the late Nicol Williamson, entitled Black Sheep, was published by The History Press in February 2018.

The paperback edition of my biography of Albert Finney will be released under the new title A Well-Seasoned Life at the end of July 2023. The new edition will also carry a postscript.
