Arliss Dickerson

Arliss Dickerson served as Baptist Campus Minister at Arkansas State University for 32 years. He has been used extensively as a speaker and workshop leader for Campus Minister events and served 13 years as Leadership Development Contract Worker for the National Collegiate Ministry office at Lifeway Christian Resources. He is a regular speaker for high school senior events and college freshmen orientations. He has been a national leader in developing specialized freshmen ministries and writing materials for college freshmen. Arliss has been called "the national thought leader for college ministry" and is considered a leading advocate for campus ministry within Southern Baptist circles. His College Ministry Blog is a regular read for many.

He is married to Sue. They met in college after Arliss had run for student body president and lost by four (4) votes. Early in their dating relationship, Sue confessed she had voted against him. She served as the Office Coordinator and Lunch Program Leader at ASU during their ministry there. They have two daughters and two granddaughters. He is an author, blogger, and friend to College Ministers. Plus, he has a particular love for and interest in college freshmen.
