Thomas J. Valone

Thomas Valone is a Professor of Biology and Director of the Reis Biological Field Station at Saint Louis University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona under the direction of Michael Rosenzweig. His research examines the behavioral ecology of information use as well as foraging and anti-predator behavior. He has studied numerous taxa, including several species of rodents, birds, and ants. His scientific career began as an undergraduate researcher studying the behavior of gray squirrels with Tom Caraco and Steve Lima.
