Rena Cherry Brown

Rena was born and grew up in the Maryland suburbs outside of Washington, DC, and later moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland where she was inspired to write both of her books. She has a degree in Theatre and English from The University of Maryland and has spent almost fifty years acting on stages in and around Washington. She recently moved to Louisville, KY with her husband John and has a Chocolate Lab rescue named Rugsby. Her two sons, Sam and Jake, used to listen to stories Rena wrote for them. In Louisville, she is still acting and has become a Caregiver. She enjoys reading her books to Assisted Living residents and children in her local children's bookstore. She is also an avid knitter and is working on a sweater for her favorite model, Rugsby.
