Tonya Lee Carrie/Biography
Carrie is Founder/Artistic and Creative Director of God’s Freedom Fighters International, (GFFI) a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Originated in 2002. She began as the prison ministry director at Christian Life Center in Vandalia Ohio.
Carrie has dedicated years to organizing faith-based events throughout Ohio, working both in prisons and jails as well as other venues across the state. In addition to organized and facilitated special entertainment events and workshops within and surrounding the cities of Dayton and Troy, Ohio.
Known throughout ministry circles for writing and speaking absolute truths. About relationships and inspiring messages of hope and love. Tonya Lee Carrie shares with all in one of her creations the book, ‘I Am My Father's Daughter, Reconciliation Heals.’ That includes a collection of her best father's interviews and commentaries, along with her worldwide published short story; ‘Daddy's Girl…A Message to Fathers.’ celebrating fathers and role models, highlighting the value and influence of their ‘presence’ in their children’s, families, and communities’ lives. It also inspires women who grew up without fathers to become resilient and overcome challenges.
She shares with those who seek change through inspiration, motivation, encouragement, and forward thinking. Because Carrie has in her own actions and unwillingness to live a life of defeat or despair, she illuminates resilience and care for others. She earns trust through her integrity, loyalty, respect for diversity, dedication to purposeful living, and powerful sense of community.
Tonya Lee Carrie is a multi-gifted communicator. She is a life coach, public, motivational, and inspirational speaker, author of four books and two coloring prayer journals, with her soon to be release book ‘I Am Sunny’s Momma…Overcoming the Loss of a Son,' with each chapter closing inspires a conversation with God.
She has been a freelance faith columnist for Cox Media (Dayton Daily Newspapers) and other outlets, including magazines and Freedom's Advocate news. Carrie is also the illustrator of inspirational calendars and coloring prayer journals.
