Anne Davison

Having studied history and world religions, Anne then spent many years both living abroad and travelling as a cruise lecturer. She also lectures on history across the UK.

In 2013 she wrote her first book, From the 'Medes to the Mullahs: a history of Iran' which was based on her lectures.

This was to be the first book in the series 'In Brief' Books for Busy People, all of which are aimed at the general reader.

She has just published (July 2020) her tenth book on a History of Central Asia. Starting with the ancient Persian Empire of the Achaemenids, the book brings the reader up to date with the current tensions in the region as the United States and China both vy for power and influence at a time when the new nations states of Central Asia are finding their own place in the world.
