Great news for fans of Brad Hitchens and Dreamland Diaries. The sequel, which consists of Part 3 of the 4 part series, is available as Orion's Light. Part 4, working title Pass/Fail is at about 60-70 percent as 2020 opens. The production of Part 4 has been delayed by the creation of Room for Tomorrow, an exciting new Cli-Fi novel set in Southern California and North Florida. Another unavoidable delay was the experience of triple bypass surgery that also resulted in a new book, Welcome to the Zipper Club.

I am a great fan of fiction of all sorts. My favorites include Vonnegut, Arthur Clark, the collaborations of Niven and Pournelle; Asimov of course and Frank Herbert and more recently Greg Bear and Scott Card. This would lead you to believe that my favorites are all scifi writers, but my list would also have to include Clemons, Hemmingway, Connelly, and the screen plays of the Coen brothers and Peter Jackson. These all share the ability to create great characters. Fiction is more than storytelling--anyone can spin an adventure. I truly appreciate the character complexities of Paul Atreides, Harry Bosch and Thomas Hudson. In my writing, I will attempt to draw you in to the multi-layered lives of my characters. In Dreamland Diaries, Bradley Hutchins has to grow up too soon. His father is a Vietnam vet with machismo issues, his mother fears for her sanity. The mystery in the woods behind their house will alter all of their lives irrevocably.
